It’s exciting to announce that Granted, the final book in the May Hollow Trilogy, is now available for your reading pleasure! And you might be able to win your own copy! Details are below.
New readers and loyal fans alike will find Granted a satisfying conclusion to the May Hollow series. Granted takes readers from Kentucky farm country to old-world Tuscany in the company of Annie Taylor, a reformed city girl, and Beulah, her straight-laced grandma.
Kirkus Reviews said of Granted: “(This) Southern saga creates a fully realized world with characters who are easy to get to know and root for; it’s a comfortable place worthy of a return trip.” And New York Times bestselling author Bret Lott said: “This story of how all generations can find the renewing power of love – if only they allow in hope and forgiveness – will leave readers with a tremendous sense of satisfaction, not to mention a few tears.”
A few years ago I read the first in this trilogy, Grounded, which I found to be a lovely, refreshing read, perfect to read especially after finishing particularly heavier reading material. What I said about Grounded was that it’s a book that truly makes you take a step back and realize the importance of easier, slower living. It was an excellent read at just the right time. Correll wrote wonderful characters and she continued their stories in the second book, Guarded. I own Guarded, but sadly haven’t read it yet, but now, with Granted available to close out this trilogy, I will more than certain be reading both over the holidays. I enjoyed Grounded quite a bit so expect to enjoy Guarded and Granted just as much. On the back cover of Grounded was a quote from Rick Dees, radio personality (remember Rick Dees? I do!) that summed up the book quite nicely:
Reading Angela Correll’s Grounded will take you to a special place surrounded by the fragrance of honeysuckle and warm southern sun. With each page, you’ll be reminded that “Happiness is not having what you want, but wanting what you have.”
I’m certain it will be a real delight to return to May Hollow and find myself lost in Annie and Beulah’s stories again.
And now, you too can win a copy of Granted! Angela Correll is also offering a gift of luxury spa products from her store, Kentucky Soaps & Such (I still have some product left and it’s wonderful stuff!) along with the copy of Granted! A wonderful gift!
