Subject: Review Request: Literary Fiction Set in 1970s Bombay – Butterflies of Success
Dear Editor,
My name is Ranga Iyer, and I am a debut author in my early 60s. I’m reaching out to inquire if you’d be interested in reviewing my upcoming literary fiction novel titled Butterflies of Success, set in a remote suburb of Bombay in the early 1970s. The novel is a rags-to-riches tale that explores resilience, family, and the strength to overcome life’s challenges.
If interested, I would be happy to provide a PDF copy of the book for your review.
Below is a brief synopsis of the novel:
Title: Butterflies of Success
Poverty is a relative term.
Lack of money alone cannot prevent success. The social evil of poverty can be defeated with a determined mind, courage, mental strength, and education.
Butterflies of Success follows the inspiring journey of Mukta and Prem, a couple with four daughters, as they leave their village in search of a better life in Thakurli, near Bombay. Facing numerous challenges—living in cramped, unsanitary conditions, grappling with financial struggles, and dealing with health issues—Mukta leads her family in the fight for a better life.
Starting by selling boiled chickpeas, Mukta gradually expands her small venture into a diner and later a tailoring business with Prem’s support. As the family’s business grows, so do their dreams, particularly the education and future of their daughters. New challenges emerge, including mounting debts and societal pressures, but with determination and the ingenuity of their third daughter, Radha, the family finds a path that could lift them out of poverty for good.
I hope the synopsis resonates with you, and I look forward to hearing from you.
Thank you.
Best regards,
Ranga Iyer

THE WRONG MENTOR
by Matthew Benjamin
They say, be careful what you wish for.
Matthew Chia should have listened.
All his life, Matthew yearned to be somebody—anyone but the forgettable face in the crowd. Then came the day the sleek red car pulled up, and Mr. Lee offered him the world.
It was everything Matthew ever wanted. Until it became everything he feared.
As Matthew sinks deeper into a world of luxury and sin,
he can’t shake the feeling that something’s not right:
– The homeless man with a hauntingly familiar story
– The nauseating stench clinging to Mr. Lee’s mansion
– The rivals who keep disappearing without a trace
Matthew tells himself it’s all in his head. But his heart knows the truth.
Now, trapped in a web of deceit and desire, Matthew must choose between the life he’s always wanted and the man he’s always been.
Filled with psychological twists and crime thriller turns, The Wrong Mentor will keep you guessing until the very last page.
